In 1996 Hattori made a 25th Anniversary limited edition of 50 knives based on the HA-1W blade design. The following is 04/50 .
Another 25th year Anniversary limited edition is the Memorial Series with 25 of each hand made upon special pre-order. Thy came with a leather sheath but a presentation box was an option.
The Memorial 1 was 271mm in length with a 156mm blade and weight of 215g. The Memorial 2 was 254mm in length with a 141mm blade and weight of 190g. The Memorial 3 was 212mm in length with a 108mm blade and weight of 130g. The blade was Cowry-X core nickel stainless damascus, the handle cocobolo and ebony, the guard was nickel silver and the pommel marked “25th”aluminum.
The Memorial 3:
Hattori makes a limited edition version of one of his models each year either in numbers of 100 or 200. They are serial numbered boxed commemorative models and are picked up by collectors, mostly in Europe.

In mid 2019 Hattori introduced a limited edition of the long unseen FT-200C Fighter, the larger fighter with the 7 inch blade. It will also be the last using Cocobolo as a handle material due to international limitations on it’s trade by CITIES. This release commemorates Master Ichiro Hattori’s 80th birthday and carries the kanji character 傘 ”San” from Sanju （傘寿）representing one’s 80th birthday. Only 50 have been made and they are serial numbered on the inner side of the bolster.
I am still seeking photographs of other Knife of the Year models and would be grateful for any contributions in this regard.

Do you have the version of 50 pieces with the mistake „25th years“ or the edition of 99 pieces „25th year“ which was officially sold by Böker, Germany? How far have you got to find the other owners?
In 1993, he has entered into a domestic market with his own name and line, and instantly captured Japanese knife users as the finest Hunting knives ever offered in Japan.

Iv a Hattori sea commander Sv-501 I think you dont see them these days
If you go to the “Hattori Hunters” section and scroll towards the bottom, the SV-501 is covered. A small lot was made serval years ago, and from what I understand several “unmarked” versions have recently become available from the factory.
